Classes run in blocks. The October block is 3 weeks because of half term.
bendy bumps pregnancy classes are nurturing and inclusive and designed to support you and your well-being as your body changes through pregnancy. Classes are not progressive and new clients are always welcome. All bendy bumps clients are invited to join a private Facebook group so you can connect with other Mums-to-be, share birth announcements and the experience of being pregnant.
During pregnancy your body experiences many changes. There are also a lot of “do’s and don’ts” to get your head around – what you’re allowed to eat, which side you are meant to lie on, what exercise is safe….and that’s just scratching the surface! It’s not hard to see why being pregnant can come with a huge amount of physical and mental stress and overwhelm.
This is where pregnancy yoga can help.
Yoga is a great way to maintain a healthy mind and body. There are many benefits to prenatal yoga including:
Improved sleep, reduced stress, increased flexibility and endurance (great for labour!), reduced lower back pain, decreased nausea. Plus pregnancy yoga can help develop the bond between mother and baby.
During the classes, you will learn:
* Safe and healthy ways to stretch and strengthen your muscles
* Calming breathing techniques
* Postures to improve your balance and circulation
* Ways to balance body and mind
* Relaxation techniques
* Tools to prepare for birth and beyond.
No prior yoga experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat, water, a cushion and a blanket to support your body and maximise your comfort in relaxation.
