Never done yoga before, or just the occasional class here and there? Interested to know what it’s all about? This bendy yoga six-week beginner’s course is perfect for you!
Join a small group of other yoga rookies to be introduced to all aspects of yoga in friendly and relaxed classes at Ewshot Village Hall, Tadpole Lane, Ewshot. We will move through some foundation postures and end the practice with a cosy Savasana (relaxation).
During the course, you will learn to connect to your body and breath and move with more awareness. You will learn some key beginners’ postures including standing asana, forward and back bends, twists, a sun salutation and simple inversions. The course will also cover the importance of alignment, how to move towards experiencing ease and stability in the postures and the effect of your breath on your practice.
Yoga is for everybody – all shapes, all sizes, all levels of fitness and flexibility. You don’t need to have toe-touching ability or be able to twist into pretzel shapes! Just come as you are. You will be encouraged to ask as many questions as you like throughout the course so you come away feeling confident and ready to attend regular yoga classes.
Each class will be individually tailored to provide you with lots of teacher attention, modifications and assistance. All equipment is provided.
Over the six weeks, you will learn the essentials of a yoga practice and how yoga can improve your flexibility and strength, as well as your overall wellbeing.
